Who can vote?
All citizens who are at least 16 years old on election day and have their main residence in the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin or have lived there for at least three months are eligible to vote.
How do you vote?
Die Wahl erfolgt per Stimmzettel in den Wahllokalen oder auf Antrag per Briefwahl. Sollte kein Kandidat die absolute Mehrheit (über 50 %) erreichen oder das Quorum erfüllen, findet eine Stichwahl zwischen den beiden Erstplatzierten statt.
Quorum:
Neben der Mehrheit der abgegebenen Stimmen (50 %) müssen auch mindestens 15 % der Stimmen aller Wahlberechtigten auf eine Person entfallen, erst dann ist die Wahl gültig.
Example: with 10,000 eligible voters, the winner of the election would have to receive at least 1,500 of all votes cast in addition to the majority (50 % of the votes cast).
