Colourful mile

The trade fair for training, jobs, further education and qualifications in your community

Every October, at the vocational training centre of the Frankfurt/Oder Chamber of Crafts in Hennickendorf, we demonstrate that the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin is not only a great place to live, but above all home to many attractive employers. Finding apprenticeships and job vacancies, pursuing further training and gaining qualifications – these are the opportunities visitors can expect on the day. The events are aimed at those looking for apprenticeships, people already in work, jobseekers, commuters and anyone wishing to (re)orient their career.

Registration for companies

Information will be provided here in good time regarding when companies can once again register for the next ‘Bunte Meile’.

No stand rental fee will be charged.

Of particular interest are training and job offers, but also internships and holiday jobs for the current year or in the future. Activities at the stand or outside are very welcome.

The ‘Bunte Meile’ takes place every October at the Hennickendorf Vocational Training Centre. It highlights the opportunities and prospects within the local community – this is a great place to live and work, find apprenticeships and job vacancies, and pursue further training and qualifications. Are you looking for an apprenticeship, currently in work, looking for a job, a commuter, or would you like to explore new career paths? Then you’ve come to the right place.

The 4th ‘Bunte Meile’ took place on 10 October 2026 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm at the HWK vocational training centre in Hennickendorf. Following the opening address by Wolf-Harald Krüger, President of the East Brandenburg Chamber of Crafts, and Danny Jenssen, Deputy and Head of Department I for the Märkisch-Oderland district, Danny Jenssen, and Mayor Nico Nolte, visitors had the opportunity to find out about apprenticeship and job opportunities, as well as further training, at numerous stands, to tour the training workshops and to try their hand at practical activities at various stations.

The 3rd Colourful Mile took place on 11 October 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the premises of the HWK vocational training centre in Hennickendorf. After the opening by the President of the East Brandenburg Chamber of Crafts Wolf-Harald Krüger, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Employment Agency in Frankfurt (Oder), Jochem Freyer, District Administrator Gernot Schmidt and Mayor Sabine Löser, visitors had the opportunity to find out about training and job opportunities as well as the topic of further training at many stands, to visit the training workshops and to try out practical skills at many stations.

The 2nd Colourful Mile took place on 12 October 2024 from 10 am to 1 pm on the premises of the HWK vocational training centre in Hennickendorf. After the opening by Deputy Mayor Marco Böttche, District Administrator Gernot Schmidt and the President of the East Brandenburg Chamber of Crafts Wolf-Harald Krüger, visitors had the opportunity to find out about training and job opportunities as well as the topic of further training at many stands, visit the training workshops and try their hand at many stations.
