On 26 May 2019, the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin will hold elections to the European Parliament, the district council, the municipal council and the local councils.
To ensure that these elections are conducted properly, election assistants are needed to staff the 13 electoral boards.
Any person who is eligible to vote can volunteer to work on an election committee.
Electoral assistants have the task of ensuring that the election is conducted properly and then (from 18:00) counting the votes cast in order to determine the election result in the electoral district.
The poll workers are deployed in two shifts (7:30 am to 12:30 pm, 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm, from 6:00 pm to determine the result again).
An election committee consists of 7 people.
A refreshment allowance is paid for working as a poll worker.
