1 The 19th election to the German Bundestag will take place on 24 September 2017. The election lasts from 8:00 to 18:00.

The polling card sent to eligible voters in the period from 14 August 2017 to 3 September 2017 indicates the electoral district and the polling station in which eligible voters are to vote. Accessibility is guaranteed.
The postal ballot boards for the Bundestag election will meet on election day at 3.00 pm at the headquarters of the district returning officer in the district building in 15306 Seelow, Puschkinplatz 12, to determine the result of the postal ballot.
3. any person entitled to vote who does not have a polling card may only vote in the polling station of the electoral district in whose electoral roll they are entered. Voters must bring their polling card and their identity card or passport or another valid identity document with a photograph to the election. The polling card should be handed in at the election.
Voting takes place using official ballot papers. Every person entitled to vote receives a ballot paper when they enter the polling station.
Each voter has one first vote and one second vote. The ballot paper shall contain the names of the candidates of the authorised district nominations in black print under the consecutive number
a) for the election in the constituency (first vote), stating the party, if it uses an abbreviated designation, also this party, in the case of other district nominations also the code word and a circle to the right of the name of each candidate for identification,
b) for the election by Land lists (second vote), in blue print, the names of the parties, if they use an abbreviated designation, including this designation, and the names of the first five candidates of each of the authorised Land lists and, to the left of the party name, a circle for identification.
The voter casts his or her first vote by clearly indicating on the left-hand side of the ballot paper (black print) by means of a cross in a circle or in some other way to which candidate it should apply, and his or her second vote by clearly indicating on the right-hand side of the ballot paper (blue print) by means of a cross in a circle or in some other way to which Land list it should apply.
Blind and visually impaired voters have the opportunity to vote using a ballot paper template. The template can be requested free of charge from the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband e. V.) (phone: (03 55) 22 549).
The ballot paper must be marked by the voter in a voting booth in the polling station or in a special adjoining room and folded in such a way that the voter's
vote cannot be recognised. No photographs or films may be taken in the polling booth.
4. during the election period, in and around the building in which the polling station is located, as well as directly in front of the entrance to the building, any influencing of voters by word, sound, writing or image, as well as any collection of signatures, is prohibited.
The election process and the subsequent determination and ascertainment of the election result in the electoral district and in the postal voting districts are open to the public. Everyone has access to the extent that this is possible without interfering with the election process.
5. voters who have a polling card may participate in the election in the constituency in which the
polling card is issued,
a) by casting their vote in any polling district of this constituency 59 or
b) by postal vote.
Anyone wishing to vote by postal ballot must obtain an official ballot paper, an official ballot paper envelope and an official ballot paper envelope from the municipal authority and send their ballot letter with the ballot paper (in the sealed ballot paper envelope) and the signed ballot paper to the office specified on the ballot paper envelope in good time so that it is received there by 6.00 p.m. on the election day at the latest. The ballot letter can also be handed in at the office indicated.
Election letters are sent free of charge within the Deutsche Post AG area without any special form of dispatch.
6. in electoral district 5, "Rathaus Bürgerbüro", Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5 in 15562 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin, representative election statistics are kept for the ballot box election. For this purpose, voters are issued ballot papers with code letters according to age and gender.
7 Each person entitled to vote may exercise their right to vote only once and only in person (Section 14 (4) of the Federal Elections Act).
Anyone who votes without authorisation or otherwise brings about an incorrect result of an election or falsifies the result is liable to a custodial sentence of up to 5 years or a monetary penalty. The attempt is punishable (Section 107a (1) and (3) of the Criminal Code).
