On 8 August 2013 at 9.00 am, the long-awaited ceremonial handover of the grant notification from the “Social City” fund took place, with Jörg Vogelsänger, Minister for Infrastructure and Agriculture, presenting it to Mayor André Schaller. The handover took place in front of the primary and secondary school in the Brückenstraße/Friedrich-Engels-Ring residential area.
Thanks to this funding, a redevelopment of the Rüdersdorf residential area is now possible. Among other things, the pub, school and playground are to be renovated to improve the quality of life in the residential area and thus enable the residents of Rüdersdorf to enjoy a good quality of life.
This is a historic moment for the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin. The long-standing joint efforts of many stakeholders have finally paid off.
