This Friday, several commemorative events will be held to mark the beginning of the construction of the Berlin Wall and the complete closure of the inner-German border 60 years ago. In particular, the numerous victims claimed by this construction will be commemorated.
A mourning flag has been ordered for this day at all federal and state government buildings in Brandenburg. The municipalities have also been asked to join in. For this reason, the mourning flag will also be flown at Rüdersdorf town hall on Friday, 13 August 2021.
