Spraying against oak processionary moth from week 20

As every year, the fight against the oak processionary moth will soon begin in the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin.

Preventative spraying is being carried out in public green spaces, cemeteries, nurseries, schools and on public land within the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin.

The Neem Protect insecticide (NeemPro®tect is used as a biocide with insecticidal properties) is applied from the ground.

The relevant areas must be cordoned off during the spraying and for approximately four hours afterwards.
The managers and those in charge of the relevant facilities will be informed of the exact dates in good time.

The relevant areas are marked with barrier tape (red and white) and information signs.

Spraying can only be carried out for a limited period depending on the stage of development of the oak processionary moth larvae.

Spraying is expected to begin this year from the 20th calendar week onwards, as leaf emergence has been delayed this year.
