In its press release issued today, the State Roads Authority announced that the State’s construction work and the associated closure of the bridge over the Stolp Canal will begin on 17 January 2022. The press release states:
"Next Monday, 17 January 2022, the bridge over the Stolp Canal on the L 30 regional road in Rüdersdorf is expected to be closed until the fourth quarter of 2023. Vehicles will then no longer be able to cross.
Anyone travelling on foot or by bike will still be able to use the bridge until the temporary bridge for cyclists and pedestrians has been erected. This is due to take place in April 2022. Demolition and reconstruction of the bridge will then begin.
The major upgrade of the L 30 on both sides of the bridge is expected to begin this summer. Whilst the access roads and pavements are being constructed, access to properties may be temporarily restricted."
In addition, the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin points out that the upgrading of the L30 is limited to the sections directly adjoining the bridge, and that no extensive refurbishment of the L30 is planned within the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin.
