The meeting room in the Herzfelde community centre filled up quickly. This year, a large number of interested new residents came to receive information about their town and the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin in general.
Shortly after 6 p.m., Mayor André Schaller welcomed those present and, after a brief round of introductions, gave the floor to Mr Schulz, the deputy mayor of Lichtenow. This was followed by Gesa Soballa, head of Herzfelde, the friends of local history from all districts, Mrs Kircheis from the senior citizens' advisory council and Mr Meinhard from the sports advisory council. Ronny Neumann, Chairman of the municipal council, asked for active participation in the committees in order to be informed about the opinions of the citizens in good time and to have more time to react at the end.
The list of clubs in the municipality of Rüdersdorf is long. Here you can choose from a colourful bouquet of different offers. Leisure activities are not neglected in the municipality either. With its two lakes, the Großer Stienitzsee and the Kalksee, the Lange-Damm meadows and the network of hiking and cycling trails, the municipality is well positioned. The museum park with its jeep tours is an unforgettable adventure for young and old. And those who love culture will find everything their heart desires in the "Acropolis".
Afterwards and during the tour, there was always the opportunity to ask questions. Information material was available for everyone.
The welcome event for new residents is now a permanent fixture in the community and is also intended to offer long-established Rüdersdorf residents the opportunity to exchange ideas.
