The Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) is currently restoring wet meadows in Hennickendorf. These measures will be presented during this public field trip. Using the example of adjacent areas where such management measures have been in place for some time, NABU will demonstrate the effectiveness of its work.
During the field trip, the success of the project can be clearly demonstrated, and participants gain an insight into the natural and human-influenced developments in this moor. Among other things, visitors can see several species of orchid and other moorland plants that have almost disappeared from Brandenburg.
Following this section, which lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, participants will be shown further results of the nature conservation work carried out in the Lange-Damm meadows.
