At the end of 2015, the decision was made to rent an office building in the Waldsiedlung Vierlinden/ OT Diedersdorf to improve the framework conditions for administrative processes in the area of asylum and foreigners. Subject to the option of extension, the contract initially runs until 2021. After a year of remodelling and preparations, 28 employees of the district administration are now moving into their new office location.
For citizens, this means that from 20 February 2017 there will be a new visitor address for all matters relating to the General Regulatory Affairs department of the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Office, the Other Social Assistance department of the Social Welfare Office or the staff of the Unaccompanied Minor Foreigners team from the Youth Welfare Office.
In the General Regulatory Affairs department, the areas of responsibility of the Immigration Office, Chimney Sweep Affairs, Registry Office Supervision and Trade Supervisory Authority are affected by the move.
The Other Social Services department comprises the areas of responsibility of the Asylum and Care Authority.
With the exception of the employees of the unaccompanied minor foreigners team, who are moving from Strausberg to Diedersdorf, all departments were previously based in Seelow.
The postal address of the relevant departments remains unchanged, as do the existing telephone numbers, email addresses and opening hours. Detailed information can be found on the district's website. The location can be reached by public transport via bus route 955.
