Subject: Vaccinations against ‘swine flu’!
The Märkisch-Oderland District Health Authority advises:
From mid-November, the “Pandemrix” vaccine can be ordered by GPs via pharmacies.
The list and names of doctors administering the vaccine in the various regions of the district can be accessed via
or by calling the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians on 01805-5822431
, Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm.
Information relating to the vaccination is updated daily on the website http://www.kvbb.de/.
The plan is for ‘high-risk patients’ (e.g. those with chronic illnesses, diabetics, patients with a weakened immune system, obese individuals and, where applicable, pregnant women)
to be vaccinated by doctors in their surgeries.
Thereafter, anyone who wishes to do so may be vaccinated, provided there are no medical reasons against it.
Individual appointments must be arranged in advance to ensure the process runs smoothly.
This vaccination is free of charge for all citizens, regardless of their insurance status.
No practice fee will be charged.
At present, there is no evidence of an increase in cases of ‘swine flu’ in Brandenburg.
Should the situation change, you will be kept informed.
