Gold for Germany – World Rowing Championships in Bled

The World Rowing Championships are currently taking place in Bled, Slovenia. Alongside the men’s eight and the coxless pair, the women’s quadruple sculls also ensured a successful start to the finals for Germany at the World Championships. With a lead of half a boat length over the USA, the German boat crossed the finish line first. The team of Britta Oppelt (Berlin), Stephanie Schiller (Potsdam), Tina Manker (Berlin) and Julia Richter (Berlin) thus fully lived up to their role as favourites.

The municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin extends its warmest congratulations to the rowers on this fantastic victory! Special thanks also go to the Rüdersdorf Rowing Club, where rower Julia Richter has been training for many years.
