At its 8th meeting on 29 January 2024, the Regional Assembly of the Oderland-Spree Regional Planning Association approved the preliminary draft of the ‘Renewable Energies’ sub-regional sectoral plan Oderland-Spree, together with its explanatory memorandum, and took note of the environmental report (Resolution 24/01/46) and adopted the resolution to open the formal consultation procedure for the public and the public authorities affected by the draft Oderland-Spree “Renewable Energies” sub-regional plan (Resolution 24/01/47).
The area covered by the ‘Renewable Energies’ sub-regional thematic plan of the Oderland-Spree Regional Planning Association encompasses the entire Oderland-Spree region, which comprises the districts of Märkisch-Oderland and Oder-Spree, as well as the independent city of Frankfurt (Oder). The draft of the ‘Renewable Energies’ sub-regional plan contains textual and graphic provisions on the use of wind energy as priority areas, as well as textual provisions on ground-mounted photovoltaic installations.
Public bodies, as well as natural and legal persons governed by private law, now have the opportunity to submit their comments. The draft plan, together with its explanatory notes, the accompanying environmental report and any relevant supporting documents, is

The documents will also be available for inspection from 11 March 2024 up to and including 24 May 2024 at the Oderland-Spree Regional Planning Association in Fürstenwalde/ Spree at the Regional Planning Office, in the independent city of Frankfurt (Oder) at the Frankfurt (Oder) City Council, in the Märkisch-Oderland district at the Märkisch-Oderland District Administration in Seelow, and in the Oder-Spree district at the District Administration in Beeskow, where they may be inspected by the public during office hours.

The suggestions and concerns raised in the comments received by the deadline will be taken into account as the consultation process continues, and the draft technical sub-regional plan will be revised if necessary. Once the deadline has passed, all comments that are not based on specific grounds under private law will be excluded (Section 9(2), sentence 4, no. 3 of the Regional Planning Act (ROG)).
