This year, for the first time in Rüdersdorf, citizens who have moved to the municipality in the last six months were invited to find out interesting facts about their community.
Mayor André Schaller welcomed all those present and the evening began with the presentation of the individual districts by the respective local heritage associations. It quickly became clear how much commitment and passion the individual local heritage associations put into their villages, festivals and events. As a citizen, you have many opportunities to get involved in community life or attend events. After the local heritage organisations, the Seniors' Advisory Council was given the opportunity to present itself and its tasks in the community. The importance of the work of the senior citizens can be seen from the impressive number of projects and activities in the community.
The mayor then provided information about the administrative structure, the political bodies and the services offered by the municipality. This could be followed on screen using the municipality's website(www.ruedersdorf.de). There were also reports on cultural and tourist offers as well as current projects in the town.
Afterwards and during the event, there was always the opportunity to ask questions. Information material was available for everyone.
The welcoming event for new residents is to become a permanent fixture in the future and also provide an opportunity for long-established residents of Rüdersdorf to exchange ideas.
