On Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at 5 pm, the photography exhibition “Baumographie” by Bärbel Fischer will open at the town hall of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin (Council Chamber, Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf near Berlin). Through her photographs, the artist offers very special perspectives on trees. She explains: “Nature fascinates me, especially trees viewed from a particular angle, looking upwards … from the roots to the crown.”
Bärbel Fischer discovered a passion for photography as early as her childhood. Until 2010, the amateur photographer took photographs exclusively with an analogue camera, but then switched to digital photography. The photographs in this exhibition were taken between 2020 and 2023, from Saxony to southern Sweden.
Bärbel Fischer’s photography exhibition ‘Baumographie’ will be on display at the Town Hall from 28 February to 31 May 2024. It is open to the public in the corridors on the first and second floors during the Town Hall’s normal opening hours. Alongside the artist, Björn Ellner, Chair of NABU Brandenburg, will also be present to offer a brief insight into the topic of trees in our region. This is the first exhibition to be held since the corridors of the listed Town Hall were repainted and the council chamber was refurbished.
