Opening of the art exhibition "Painting makes you happy"

On 26 September 2017, the art exhibition "Painting makes you happy" by Rita Schmidt opened at 3.30 pm in Rüdersdorf Town Hall.

The opening ceremony began with welcoming words from the deputy mayor Petra Schulz. The laudatory speech was given by Dr Uwe Schieferdecker, who introduced the Petershagen-born artist to the interested audience and also spoke about her works.
The artist herself then explained the motto of her exhibition. "I am happy when I paint an oil painting using the wet-on-wet technique or a watercolour," said the Petershagen artist.

Afterwards, visitors were able to view the exhibition over coffee and cake and had the opportunity to talk to the artist.

The exhibition can be viewed during the opening hours of Rüdersdorf Town Hall.

From November Ms Schmidt will again be offering watercolour courses and oil painting days in her own studio in Petershagen.
