Successful start to the career compass training and study fair 2018

More than 2,000 visitors took the opportunity to find out about training and study opportunities in the metropolitan region at the career compass 2018.
The event initiators, district councillor Johannes Martin and the head of the Märkisch Oderland economic office, Rainer Schinkel, welcomed exhibitors and visitors together with all the participating mayors.
Rainer Schinkel is certain that the career compass is an ideal format for showing young people the training potential in the region, because the "who's who of the district is represented here. Some people might be surprised at the opportunities available to them right in their neighbourhood."
District Councillor Johannes Martin began by thanking all exhibitors for their participation. He is convinced that the career compass has established a trade fair in a form that is unrivalled in the region. "The fair is an excellent showcase for the region. Something really great has been organised here." The number of visitors seems to prove him right - more than 2,000 visitors streamed through the Giebelseehalle on Friday and Saturday to enquire about their future prospects with the companies and universities.
More than 100 exhibitors presented training, study and career prospects in the region in the Giebelseehalle. Companies from the healthcare sector, trades and industry were represented, as were numerous service providers and retailers. The federal police, customs and the armed forces also presented themselves to visitors. In addition, the IHK, HWK and employment agency as well as the Märkisch-Oderland job centre offered a wide range of information. In addition to the exhibitor presentations, there were also lectures and workshops as well as application portfolio checks, styling and application photos.
Michael Brantzko from Pflegewohnzentrum Kaulsdorf-Nord gGmbH is impressed by the format. "This fair is very well organised from the ground up, it's a great place to talk to students and make valuable contacts with other companies at the same time. We would love to take part again next year."
The regional management team will now evaluate the fair with all those involved and start planning for career compass 2019.
