On 11 March, the board of the Local Action Group (LAG) Märkische Seen e.V. carried out the 12th project selection procedure of the current funding period 2014 - 2020 and enabled 8 further projects to apply for funding from the EU LEADER funding programme.
Eight projects with a total investment volume of around €1.5 million applied for the 12th order date with a planned funding volume of €1.0 million. As part of the project selection process, all projects achieved the required minimum number of points and were therefore approved for funding. This means that the way is now clear in the southern part of the LAG for the conversion of the former urban property "Küchensee" in Storkow into a socio-spatial centre, the second construction phase for the renovation of the Reichenwalde church to create accessibility and a housing development concept for rural areas in Oder-Spree. In Märkisch-Oderland, the renovation of the church in Prädikow, the design of the station forecourt in Rehfelde and the creation of information material for the Altlandsberg castle estate are planned.
The Board also voted in favour of projects to be funded by the Joint Task for Agricultural and Coastal Protection (GAK). Applications for funding can thus be submitted for the rural road construction from the Bergschäferei to Liebenhof and the Ernsthof community centre. Private applicants who wish to submit an application for funding for a village renewal measure for 2020 must submit an application to the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture and Land Consolidation by 31 July 2019.
A total of 128 projects with a total investment volume of almost €37.1 million were thus launched. The complete list can be found on the LAG website.
The LAG would like to point out that the funding period is coming to an end and that the last opportunity to apply for LEADER funding is expected to be in spring at the latest. Project promoters who wish to submit a project for funding by the XIIIth deadline of 20 May 2019 should contact the office as soon as possible to clarify the general conditions of the procedure.
