Mayor meets with noise sufferers

Residents of Möllenstraße in Herzfelde met with the head of the road traffic department, Nick Weiher, and the head of the department, Uwe Wähner, together with representatives of the municipal administration and local politicians. Mayor Sabine Löser and the chairwoman of the Environment, Climate and Transport Committee, Andrea Rudorf, took the concerns of residents affected by the increase in traffic and noise very seriously. At the same time, they pledged their support in ensuring compliance with the speed limit. At night, this is 30 km/h.
The residents of Möllenstraße are not alone in their desire to reduce the traffic noise that makes people ill. Whether in Tasdorf, Hennickendorf, Lichtenow or Rüdersdorf - many would like to see less traffic, but at least compliance with the maximum permitted speed.
The public order office, represented at the meeting by Andreas Kirscht, will take care of the application for regular traffic monitoring in the form of speed checks. It is also responsible for the continuous updating of the noise action plan, which has also paid particular attention to Möllenstraße in Herzfelde since the last version.
