Book reading with Martin Nygaard

On Tuesday 20 March 2012, Martin Nygaard was a guest at Rüdersdorf Town Hall. He was welcomed by lots of young guests who were already eagerly awaiting his book reading in the council chamber. He read excerpts from the book for children and the young at heart, *The Big Maze Book*.

In this game, Hans and Grete must find their way back home. To do so, the pair must make their way through a haunted castle, the Amazon rainforest, the desert and across bodies of water, before taking on blood-sucking vampires and killer spiders.

Since 1995, Martin Nygaard has published 138 short stories and modern fairy tales for children, which have been highly praised by critics.

The reading was organised by the Friedrich Wilhelm von Reden Library in Rüdersdorf.
Mayor André Schaller presented the author with a small gift as a token of thanks, so that he would always remember his stay in Rüdersdorf near Berlin.
