On Tuesday, 10 November 2015, Dr Manfred Stolpe, former Minister President and Federal Minister of the State of Brandenburg, Anne Bötcher, Managing Director of AWO Landesverband Brandenburg e.V., and David Kreuziger, Member of the Board of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. Landesverband Berlin-Brandenburg, officially launched the "Brandenburg shows heart...because it's about people!" initiative at a press conference followed by the unveiling of the first banner.
The aim of the initiative is to make one thing clear: People flee their homeland because they no longer have any hope of a peaceful "normal" life there. Furthermore, the initiators want it to become even clearer that refugees have no future, no opportunities without our help.
The central element of the initiative will be the website brandenburgzeigtherz.de, which, in addition to information on supporters, will also - and above all - coordinate the help that is currently needed in many respects.
