After the Friedrich-Wilhelm-von-Reden library has been closed for almost a week, a non-bureaucratic solution has now made it possible to borrow books from the main branch in Rüdersdorf again. On the one hand, a simplified re-registration process for readers is being offered for the duration of the ongoing crisis, which no longer requires personal attendance. All you need to do is send an email to bibliothek@gemeinde-ruedersdorf.info or call 033638 68 22 3, stating your contact details. Once you have successfully registered, you can use the extensive range of eBooks on offer directly from home.
On the other hand, a book lock will be set up. After prior ordering by phone, e-mail or via the pre-order function of the online catalogue, the media packages are put together and placed in the library's vestibule. They can be collected there at an agreed time. There will be no contact between the library staff and the reading buddies.
Once the books have been returned, they will be cleaned with a disinfectant solution and returned after one week at the earliest.
All media that have already been borrowed will be automatically renewed, so it is not absolutely necessary to return them during the pandemic.
