With the official swimming season kicking off on 15 May, regular water quality tests show that the water at the designated bathing spots is in excellent condition, so there’s nothing to stop you from enjoying a swim.
The bathing areas, which by definition comply with the EC Directive and the Brandenburg Bathing Water Ordinance, are monitored by the public health department.
The following bathing spots have been designated in the Märkisch-Oderland district for the 2018 season:
• Baggersee, Gusow
• Bötzsee, Eggersdorf, lido
• Bötzsee, Eggersdorf, FKK-Hochspannung – Postbruch
• Dieksee, Falkenhagen
• Outdoor swimming pool, Zechin
• Gabelsee, Falkenhagen
• Großer Däbersee, Waldsieversdorf, public bathing area
• Großer Klobichsee, Münchehofe
• Großer Trepliner See, Petershagen
• Großer Stienitzsee, Hennickendorf
• Hohenjesarscher See, Alt Zeschdorf
• Klostersee, Altfriedland
• Schermützelsee, Buckow, lido
• Schwarzer See, Falkenhagen
• Straussee, Strausberg, Jenseits des Sees
• Straussee, Strausberg, sunbathing lawns Nord-Badstraße
• Straussee, Strausberg, Lido
• Vorder- or Haussee, Obersdorf
• Waldbad, Wriezen • Weinbergsee, Diedersdorf
Information boards displaying the latest information and bathing rules have been erected at these designated bathing spots.
All designated bathing spots in the district have been classified as having ‘excellent bathing water quality’. A corresponding symbol can be found on each sign.
For all other bathing sites in the district that are not listed in the Official Gazette but have been monitored and tested for years, monitoring is carried out in the interests of preventive health protection in accordance with the Brandenburg Health Service Act.
