The municipality of Rüdersdorf attaches great importance to road safety, particularly in the vicinity of nurseries and schools. Pedestrian crossings are also a danger point.
The recently installed dialogue display is now intended to ensure that drivers adjust their speed according to the situation, especially in places where particular caution is required. The special feature of the display panels is that road users are not only warned if they are exceeding the speed limit, but are also praised for travelling at the correct speed. With the words "Slow down" or "Thank you" displayed in red or green, the display reacts directly to the road user's driving behaviour. Accident researchers are in favour of this type of display. This is because simple traffic signs are no longer recognised at some point.
The device is recommended for the following applications:

Ø Securing school routes
Ø Reducing speeding
Ø Reducing noise
Ø Raising awareness at conflict points
The first location is at the pedestrian crossing in Brückenstraße. The device will then be moved to Ernst-Thälmann-Straße. The other possible areas of use and locations of the dialogue display will be determined by the regulatory committee in December.
