Last weekend, the Hennickendorf branch of the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) celebrated its 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the local association was presented with a motor that will enable the DLRG helpers to use their own boat for future missions.
The local association currently has 110 active members, all of whom work on a voluntary basis and are primarily deployed to support events in the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin.
The anniversary celebration also marked the start of the season for the Brandenburg regional association.
