Knecht Ruprecht - Folklore
Knecht Ruprecht sneaks from house to house
and peeks through the windows
and looks for the good children from
and sees what the bad ones are up to.
Shoo, shoo, he's over -
oh dear, the bad ones - the good ones ei ei!
St Niklas is a good man
brings the little children something,
he lets the big ones go,
they can buy something.
I'm still a very little man
and I'm a bit anxious.
So look at me very kindly,
don't keep me waiting long.
Give me nuts and almonds,
then I'll love you, Knecht Ruprecht.
