Entrepreneurs from the districts of Märkisch-Oderland, Oder-Spree and the city of Frankfurt/Oder are invited to apply for the region's start-up prize until 30 June 2013. The prize is awarded for the courage to become self-employed and to set an example for others who want to start their own business. Financial recognition and publicity are the main prizes. The award ceremony will take place on 24 October 2013 in the presence of the Presidents of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, the District Administrators of the Oder-Spree and Märkisch-Oderland districts and the Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt (Oder).
