Both advisory boards intend to work closely together in future and to work jointly to promote sport and culture in the local community.
In addition to the existing Senior Citizens’ Advisory Council, the Municipal Council has appointed a Sports Advisory Council and a Culture Advisory Council in order to represent the interests of various sections of the population even more effectively. The advisory councils advise the Municipal Council and the local authority administration on their respective areas of responsibility. All members serve in a voluntary capacity and have been appointed for the duration of the local council’s term of office.
The Sports Advisory Board represents the interests of the municipality’s sportspeople who are members of sports clubs. It consists of six members. Ms Antje Richter-Blumhagen was elected chair. The Sports Advisory Board can be contacted by email at sportbeirat@ruedersdorf.de .
The Cultural Advisory Board works to promote the interests of cultural organisations and the residents of the municipality. It currently has two members. Ms Petra Fleischer was elected chair. The Cultural Advisory Board can be contacted at kulturbeirat@ruedersdorf.de . Anyone wishing to get involved in the Cultural Advisory Board is very welcome. There is currently room for two more members. Interested parties should please send their application by email to vereine@ruedersdorf.de.
The next joint meeting of the two advisory boards will take place on 9 September 2026 at the Herzfelde Community Centre. The meetings are open to the public – interested members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
