On 2 March 2026, the Märkisch-Oderland Waste Management Authority will send out around 76,000 annual fee notices to all fee-paying residents in the district. In addition to the basic fee payable per person, these notices will include the charges for waste bins and collection for the previous year 2025, and an advance payment for the year 2026 will be collected.
The basis for the EMO’s fee collection is the 2026 Waste Fee Regulations adopted by the District Council on 10 December 2025. A sample fee notice with an explanation of all relevant data can be found on the website www.maerkisch-oderland.de/entsorgungsbetrieb. The 2026 Waste Charges Ordinance is also available on the EMO website.
From 2 to 13 March 2026, the EMO will have extended opening hours for the dispatch of waste collection charge notices:
Monday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Tuesday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 6.00 pm
Wednesday 8.00 am – 12.00 pm & 1.00 pm – 16:00
Thursday 8:00 – 12:00 & 13:00 – 15:00
Friday 8:00 – 12:00
