From around 12 noon on Thursday, 27 November 2025, the diversion on the B 1 federal road near Hennickendorf (Märkisch-Oderland district) will be lifted. The B 1 will therefore be open to traffic again.
For anyone wishing to turn off the B 1 towards Hennickendorf, restrictions will be in place again from 12 January 2026 at the junction with the L 233 (Berliner Straße). On the southern section of the L 233, the temporary diversion and the old carriageway are being dismantled. In addition, a new shared footpath and cycle path is being built between the B 1 and the L 233, and the 50-metre gap in the carriageway will be closed. To allow this, the L 233 junction with the B 1 will have to be fully closed until, it is expected, March 2026. During this time, Berliner Straße will only be accessible via the northern approach to the L 23. To ensure that the L 233 remains open to traffic in one direction during this period, construction work within Hennickendorf will be suspended.

Work is currently still underway in Hennickendorf to complete the section between Lindenweg and Bergstraße, which will be resurfaced in the first week of December. From March 2026, work will begin on the section at Stienitzsee, followed – by the end of the second quarter – by the section from Bergstraße to the L 23. Berliner Straße is expected to be fully completed by July 2026.
The State Road Authority and the construction company STRABAG would like to thank all road users for their understanding and patience during the construction work.
