About the exhibition:
“And then everything changed” – Group exhibition “
” – Collages, drawings and paintings –
It was a life that suddenly changed dramatically - due to an accident or an acute illness. Today, these men and women live in Rüdersdorf in the centre for people with acquired brain damage.
Nothing is as it was. The architect, the surveyor, the painter, the construction worker, the competitive athlete... None of them can pursue the profession they have learnt or live with their family. The meaning of life has to be reinvented. Making new plans is difficult because everything is limited.
That is what unites the artists in this group. They meet twice a week to get creative. Their approaches are very individual. Everyone has their own style, their own ideas, their own material. And the spectrum ranges from the realistic to the abstract, from restrained to bright colours, from small to large-format works. Some of the results can be seen in this exhibition.
The exhibition will then be freely accessible in the town hall corridors on the 1st and 2nd floors during general opening hours until 28 March 2025.
