Authorisation for the commercial exhibition of persons Renewal

  • Full text

Displays of persons are events at which the physical appearance of the persons on show is the main focus. The performances presented by them (e.g. singing or theatre performances) are in the background. This term mainly covers events that

    • display the sexual attractions of the persons concerned or

    • to satisfy the public's desire for sensation.

    Examples: Striptease or table dance

A licence is required for the commercial exhibition of persons. This can be obtained by natural and legal persons. The licence is required for

    • the organiser of the exhibition and
    • Persons who make their business premises available for the demonstration.
The permit for the exhibition does not replace any other authorisations.

Note: Performances of a predominantly artistic, acrobatic, sporting or similar nature are exempt from the authorisation requirement.
