    If you give up keeping a registered dog or move house, you are obliged to deregister the dog for tax and regulatory purposes and return the dog licence tag.

    The dog tax will then be paid to you on a pro rata basis.

    - a copy of the application for admission when the dog is handed in at the animal shelter

    - In the event of the dog's death, confirmation from the vet if applicable

    - if available, return the dog tax stamp on site in the municipality
