Lichtenow Local History Working Group e. V.

The association Arbeitskreis Ortschronik Lichtenow e.V. was founded in October 2023. In addition to the long-standing members of the working group, which has been active since 2002, new members have joined, so that we now have 16 active members aged between 16 and 83.

We are dedicated to promoting the idea of local history as well as art and culture in rural areas. To this end, we collect, preserve and publish historical documents relating to our village and organise cultural events to promote the village community. For example, we organise the LICHTenow event in the church in the run-up to Christmas, the monthly "Plauderei ab 3" in the village office and support the annual village festival and the senior citizens' Christmas party.
