"Completely relaxed in the Brandenburg countryside" - visit from Hemmoor

At the beginning of June, the members of the citizens' forum of our twin town Hemmoor visited the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin. The guests had breakfast together with Mayor André Schaller, the chairman of the municipal council meeting, Ronny Neumann, and the vice-chairwoman of the town twinning association, Sarah Kautz. The focus was on participatory budgeting. The project to better involve the residents of Rüdersdorf in the democratic processes of the administration is also of interest to the citizens of Hemmoor. Mayor Schaller is also not averse to a visit to Hemmoor, during which the principle of participatory budgeting could be presented.
Following this more politically orientated discussion, a tour of the municipality was scheduled before the visitors travelled on to Berlin and then back home to Hemmoor. "From our point of view, we will strengthen and intensify this wonderful encounter as part of the town twinning," says the organiser of the trip, Constanze Langer from the citizens' forum.
