From 13.05.2015 - 16.05.2015, preventive spraying against the oak processionary moth will be carried out on open spaces and roads in the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin.
Spraying is carried out at the Herzfelde day care centre, at the cemeteries Friedensstraße 7b, R.-Breitscheid-Straße 86, Am Friedhof 5, Hauptstraße 67 in Herzfelde, Siedlerstraße in Lichtenow, as well as in the municipal roads where infestation has been detected in recent years or where there is an oak population.
Spraying with Neem Protect, an insecticide, is carried out from the ground. The respective areas must be cordoned off during spraying and for approx. four hours afterwards. The respective areas are marked with barrier tapes (red and white). Spraying can only be carried out for a limited period depending on the development stage of the oak processionary moth larvae.
