It is a beautiful path, the Knüppeldamm in Hennickendorf. It is part of the 66 Lakes Hiking Trail and is not only used often and with pleasure by tourists, but also by many Hennickendorf residents. However, it is getting on in years and needs a thorough renovation.
For this reason, the Knüppeldamm will be closed for the duration of the construction work. As this is marshland, it is unfortunately not possible to offer an alternative in this area. Hikers will have to take the diversions via Friedrichstraße, Strausberger Straße and the L23 to get back to the 66-lake hiking trail.
The entire construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. Construction will be interrupted for the Stienitzseecross and the path will be open for the run!
