The annual New Year's reception of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin took place on 25 January 2013. At 6.30 pm, the chairman of the municipal council Ronny Neumann and mayor André Schaller welcomed the guests to the Rüdersdorf cultural centre. This year, Ronny Neumann thanked above all the committed members of the community who actively supported the event with their help. André Schaller gave a brief review of the year and an outlook on upcoming projects this year.
As part of this ceremony, Mr Manfred Billerbeck, senior manager of the Lichtenow restaurant "Goldenes Lamm", was honoured for his many years of work and voluntary commitment in the village. In addition, the employees of the Rüdersdorf clothing store, including Ursula Steffen, Ilona Höft and Liana Kiehl, were honoured on behalf of their institution for the 20th anniversary of their organisation. They received a certificate and an engraved pewter plate and signed the community's book of honour. The musical cultural programme was provided by the Hugo Distler music school. A champagne reception and a large buffet were offered for the physical well-being of those present. A DJ provided the evening's entertainment.
