Public participation in the cycling concept launched

The municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin has started the public participation process for the municipality's cycling concept.

From now until 21 July 2023 inclusive, there is the opportunity to submit suggestions and additions to the cycling concept. Participation is realised via MaerkerPlus and can be accessed via the municipality's website.

In addition, a public event will take place on 6 July 2023 at 6:30 pm in the Café Magazin in the Museumspark Rüdersdorf (Heinitzstraße 9, 15562 Rüdersdorf near Berlin) - no admission fee is required to attend the event.

The various drafts of the cycling concept were fundamentally revised, updated and structured once again in the first half of 2023. The aim is to identify gaps in the existing cycle path network and to identify and prioritise key areas for action in various areas such as school routes, routes to work, bus and rail connections, tourist routes, etc. The aim is to derive and prioritise key areas for action. The cycling concept is currently being discussed in the local advisory councils and the specialist committees - the next date for this is the joint meeting of the committees for the environment, climate and transport as well as local development and tourism on 19 June 2023, 6.30 pm in the Herzfelde community centre. The intention is to have the concept adopted by the municipal council in September 2023.
