Once again this year, the bathing areas, which by definition comply with the EC Directive and the Brandenburg Bathing Water Ordinance, will be designated in the official gazette for Brandenburg. The designation is renewed annually.
The following 20 bathing areas in the district of Märkisch-Oderland will be designated for the 2019 season and regularly monitored by the health authority in accordance with the prescribed procedure:

Interested citizens or institutions are welcome to submit opinions and suggestions regarding the designation of bathing areas to the district health authority at any time and can be informed of the sample results by e-mail from the health authority during the season. For regular quality information, it is only necessary to register once in the relevant e-mail distribution list. To do this, simply send an e-mail with the subject "Bathing water distribution list" to gesundheitsamt@landkreismol.de.

Interesting information about the water is also displayed on the local information boards, which have been erected at all designated bathing areas in the district. The symbol for the categorisation can also be found on each board, which certifies the category "Excellent bathing water quality".
