GardenNeighbours with their own cycle route

In the Gardens of the World in Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf, international garden art from different eras and regions can be experienced in an impressive and varied way. Whether oriental, Chinese, Japanese, Balinese or European: the garden is a place of peace, beauty, prosperity and happiness in all cultures of the world. This commonality can be seen worldwide in the most diverse garden forms.
On 21 hectares, nine elaborately designed gems in the Gardens of the World currently invite visitors on a horticultural journey around the world - a tenth themed garden, the English Garden, will open next week as part of the International Garden Exhibition Berlin 2017 (IGA). For more than 170 days, the Gardens of the World will not only be the setting for various horticultural traditions, but also the centre of contemporary international garden and landscape art.

As a direct neighbour to the east of Berlin, the IGA 2017 - GARTENNACHBARN region presents itself as a varied part of Brandenburg's adventure worlds.
The GardenNeighbours will be promoting their own route. This 55-kilometre circular tour runs through interesting communities and their many small and large highlights. Let yourself be surprised! If the 55 km are too long for you, you can always take a shortcut in between and use the S-Bahn or tram for the return journey.

We invite you to experience the historic old town of Altlandsberg, the famous Hoppegarten racecourse and the active limestonemining industry in the Rüdersdorf Museum Park near Berlin. From the historic town hall tower in Neuenhagen, you can see far into the Berlin and Brandenburg countryside. In the pigeon tower of the Fredersdorf estate, the smallest museum, you can see the history of the manor, which has left its mark in many places.
