Opening of the town hall exhibition "Pierrefitte yesterday and today" and German-French-Polish town friendship

The next town hall exhibition of the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin (Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin) will open on 14 June 2024 at 4 pm. Entitled "Pierrefitte yesterday and today", the exhibition shows the French town on the outskirts of Paris through the ages - with historical and current photographs in direct comparison, taken from the same perspective. The exhibition is on loan from the French twin town, which has had close ties with Rüdersdorf near Berlin since 1966.

The exhibition will be opened by Mayor Sabine Löser and the Mayor of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, Michel Fourcade. The Heinitz-Gymnasium Rüdersdorf will also contribute to the programme with a film in French, and the Hugo-Distler music school will provide the musical accompaniment. The opening is open to the public and there is no admission charge. Afterwards, the exhibition can be visited at any time during the regular opening hours of the town hall.

As part of the visit of the French twin town (14-16 June 2024) to the municipality, the guests will visit the Polish twin town of Santok together with the mayor on Saturday on the occasion of the castle festival there. This means that the existing partnerships are now coming together once again and sending a signal for a cosmopolitan and connected Europe. The municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin has been supported for years by the Association for Town Twinning of the Municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin, which is actively involved in the exchange and organises the respective programmes.
