On 7 October 2016, the inauguration of the mining hut took place, which has been standing at the Klosterstraße underground station in Berlin since 22 July 2016. Around 30 participants attended the event, including the Head of the Underground Division at BVG, Mr Hans-Christian Kaiser, and the Mayor of Rüdersdorf, Mr André Schaller, who both gave short speeches. Those present were welcomed by the Managing Director of VBGU, Mr Olaf Alisch.
Following the welcome, an information sign was unveiled at the underground station, which was attached to the Hunt. In addition to a QR code on it, which leads to the VBGU homepage (mining hunt article under downloads), the "non-smartphone user" will find some brief information on the background of the installation on this board.
The inauguration was festively framed by the representatives of the Bergbauverein Rüdersdorf 1990 e.V., who appeared in habit. At the end, a glass of sparkling wine was served with a hearty Tscherper meal.
