"Thank you trip" to Potsdam

On Sunday, 14 October 2012, Volkssolidarität Rüdersdorf invited its helpers on a trip to our state capital to thank them for their many volunteer activities.
Expert city tour guides accompanied the two-hour city tour and drew attention to many old and new things. These included the Glienicke Bridge and the buildings of the former garrison, beautiful old town houses and streets, and of course the famous Potsdam sights.
During a short stop at Sanssouci Palace, visitors were able to enjoy the marvellous view of the park from the vineyard terraces. Many visitors had chosen this sunny October day for an excursion here.
The tour then continued past the park's green trellis, the New Palace and the Kaiser railway station, back into the city and then on to Beelitz.
Delicious cake, coffee and musical entertainment awaited the group at the "Jakobs-Hof". Those who didn't want to dance could find all sorts of useful things in the country shop at the Spargelhof, which was decorated in autumnal colours.
It was a lovely day to thank the volunteers, so a big "Thank you!"
