Boules court opened in the museum park

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the town twinning between Pierrefitte-sur-Seine and Rüdersdorf near Berlin, a boules court was opened in the museum park - many thanks to all those who helped with the construction. This will be the future venue for the boules section of SV Glück Auf Rüdersdorf e.V., but can also be used by all visitors to the museum park. Boules can be borrowed from the Kalkscheune and from the ticket office in the museum park.

The term boules is used colloquially in German as a collective term for all ball sports. Most people use it to refer to the recreational ball game known from France. However, the correct name for this is pétanque. The game is played with metal balls and a wooden target ball. The aim of the game is for your own balls to be closer to the target ball than your opponent's balls.
