In light of the storm event on 5 October 2017, the State Forestry Administration would like to draw attention to particular hazards when entering the forest. These mainly consist of trees that are leaning, falling branches and a large number of trees that are currently still making forest paths impassable. The population is asked to avoid the forest areas for the coming days/weeks. The clean-up work will continue for several weeks due to the large number of cases. The use of cycle paths along forest edges and mushroom picking is also currently not recommended.
