Bathing areas ready for the start of the bathing season

The annual start of the official bathing season on 15 May is approaching. The bathing areas, which by definition comply with the EC Directive and the Brandenburg Bathing Water Ordinance, are monitored by the public health department. Regular sampling proves that the water quality of the designated bathing areas is impeccable and that nothing stands in the way of bathing fun, provided you don't let the water temperatures of between 12 and 18 degrees stop you.

The following bathing areas have been designated for the 2016 season in the district of Märkisch-Oderland:

- Baggersee, Gusow
- Bötzsee, Eggersdorf, Strandbad
- Bötzsee,Eggersdorf, FKK-Hochspannung - Postbruch
- Dieksee, Falkenhagen
- Freibad, Zechin
- Gabelsee, Falkenhagen
- Großer Däbersee, Waldsieversdorf, Volksbad
- Großer Klobichsee, Münchehofe
- Großer Stienitzsee, Hennickendorf
- Hohenjesarscher See, Alt Zeschdorf
- Klostersee, Altfriedland
- Schermützelsee, Buckow, Strandbad
- Schwarzer See, Falkenhagen
- Straussee, Strausberg, Jenseits des Sees
- Straussee, Strausberg, Liegewiesen Nord-Badstraße
- Straussee, Strausberg, Strandbad
- Vorder- oder Haussee, Obersdorf
- Waldbad, Wriezen
- Weinbergsee, Diedersdorf

Information boards with the latest information and bathing rules are displayed at these designated bathing areas.

All designated bathing areas in the district have been categorised as "excellent bathing water quality"

All other bathing areas in the district that are not listed in the
official gazette, but have been monitored and
sampled for years, are monitored in accordance with the
preventative health protection regulations of the
Brandenburg Health Service Act.
