The Rüdersdorf public order office took action. According to the Youth Protection Act, it is not permitted to drink alcohol in restaurants, sales outlets or other public places.

nor may you be permitted to consume them.

"One bottle of wine, one beer, 2 bottles of sparkling wine, 6 bottles of beer, 2 bottles of wine, 1 bottle of whisky, etc. please." Our test person, who hands over the goods in every shop, is only 15 years old. She is not actually allowed to be sold alcohol yet.

Two checks on 12 and 15 December in the municipality of Rüdersdorf with its three districts of Lichtenow, Hennickendorf and Herzfelde produced alarming results.

Together with the public order office and the father of our teenage test subject, a total of 13 shops were visited, from snack bars to petrol stations and supermarkets, to buy alcohol. In 12 of the 13 shops inspected, she was given beer, wine, sparkling wine and even a bottle of high-proof whisky without any problems.

In total, we ended up with 7 bottles of beer, 6 bottles of wine, 3 bottles of sparkling wine and the whisky. None of the shop assistants showed any identification. Immediately after each purchase, the employees of the public order office returned to the shop with the corpus delicti and confronted the shop assistant and the shop manager. Most of the employees said that they always make sure that alcohol is not sold to children and young people in accordance with the Youth Protection Act.

The only ray of hope - in the drugstore on Bergstrasse, we could only congratulate the two employees. They saw through our teenage test subject and didn't sell her any alcohol.

We promise that these checks will now take place more often to protect our children and young people.
