Campaign "Bells for Rüdersdorf"
On Monday, 18 February 2013, the Catholic parish "Holy Family" received a donation cheque from the Sparkasse Rüdersdorf branch in the presence of Father Harold Bumann IVE, Mr Alfred M. Molter, Mr Rainer Pabel from the church council and the patron of the campaign, Mayor André Schaller. This support is also urgently needed for the "Bells for Rüdersdorf" campaign. The campaign is committed to renewing the over 100-year-old bells in the parish church. These bells now show considerable rust damage. The entire belfry is also to be replaced as it no longer fulfils the structural requirements.
The total cost of the project is €122,000.00. The € 27,000.00 required for the bells is borne by the parish alone. Of the remaining €95,000.00 for the planning and construction work, 70% will come as a grant from the Archdiocese of Berlin and 30% will be paid by the parish itself. The € 2,000.00 that has now been handed over by the Sparkasse branch manager Angelika Paczikowski is a great help. And further donors have already been announced for the future.
